• Attractive hourly rates + penalty rates on overtime
• Permanent position
• Monday to Friday, 6.30am – 3pm

The position of Yardperson at our Cairns Branch is a key support role, responsible for the maintenance of the Branch & Holding Yard area and ensuring the safe loading and unloading of equipment.

As well as providing a high level of customer service, you are also required to:

• Promote a Safety-First Culture.
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles using safe loading and unloading procedures.
• Perform general yard duties, including cleaning and re-fuelling of equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe and organised yard.
• Assist with basic service and repair of non-high-risk equipment in a workshop environment.
• Participate in branch stocktake activities as required.

What you’ll bring to the role

As well as having experience in a similar role, you will also have the following:

• A current forklift & driver’s license (essential)
• Experience loading and unloading including knowledge of load restraints desirable
• A strong knowledge of and commitment to safety
