As Branch Manager at Coates Port Hedland, you'll take ownership of the branch's success, leading a team of eight, including an Assistant Branch Manager, Customer Service Coordinator, Leading Hand and four skilled Mechanics.

 

In this hands-on leadership role, you'll balance people leadership, customer relationships, commercial performance and operational excellence. Your focus will be on creating an engaged, safety-first culture while driving branch growth, fleet utilisation, profitability and exceptional customer experiences.

  • Leading, coaching and developing your team to deliver outstanding customer service and operational results.
  • Building a strong branch culture focused on safety, teamwork and accountability.
  • Managing branch performance across revenue growth, profitability, fleet availability and utilisation.
  • Strengthening relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Overseeing workshop and fleet operations to ensure equipment is ready, reliable and available when customers need it.
  • Managing branch budgets, P&L performance and key operational metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with Coates' Zero Harm safety standards and operational procedures.

 

What you'll bring to the role

 

  • Previous leadership experience in an operational, industrial, equipment hire, trade or service-based environment.
  • A proven ability to lead, develop and support teams to achieve strong results.
  • Experience managing budgets, KPIs and branch or business performance.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and customer management systems.
