Based at our Moorebank office, The Transport Supervisor is responsible for managing transport safety in line with Coates process, procedure and guidelines. You will oversee management of the Coates Transport internal fleet and drivers in the Greater Sydney metro Area, ensuring driver and vehicles are compliant.  
The role is also responsible for ensuring the full utilsation of the company fleet. By managing the driver leave and fleet maintenance. Whilst making sure our customer needs and requirements are met.  
A key focus of the role is to continually seek best practice for efficiency and cost reduction in performing transport movements for Coates. 

  • Lead our uncompromising Safety-First culture throughout the designated Transport HUBs and customer interactions.
  • Supervise company drivers, including toolbox talks, uniform orders, compliance, and inductions.
  • Collaborate with Transport Managers and Branch Operations to resolve transport disputes efficiently.
  • Oversee driver labour costs, review overtime, and ensure compliance with CoR and company processes.
  • Manage fleet maintenance records, coordinate servicing/repairs, and liaise with R&M service providers.
  • Drive safety innovation and best practices in transport while ensuring effective communication; collaborate closely with the Transport Allocations team at Ingleburn.

Open to candidates with less experience who are eager to grow but must excel in team engagement and leadership.

What you’ll bring to the role

Ideally you will have experience in a similar position gained from within the transport industry or similar, where your strong leadership capability and character have engaged teams to perform at their best. Also:  

  • Customer focus.
  • Professional communication and competent computer skills.
  • Some mechanical aptitude.
  • Analytical skills for data interpretation.
  • Current drivers license.
