The Strategic Account Manager leads relationships with Coates' largest customers, developing and executing strategic account plans to drive sales and revenue. By engaging directly with key stakeholders, the SAM gains deep customer insights to deliver tailored solutions and long-term value.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
• Lead and embed a strong safety culture across the organisation and in all customer interactions, ensuring Coates commitment to uncompromising safety standards.
• Develop and execute account strategies that align with both Coates and customer goals, fostering high-value, long-term partnerships with key decision-makers.
• Use market insights and deep customer understanding to create tailored equipment and pricing solutions that meet evolving needs and stand out from competitors.
• Utilise relationships across the Coates ELT and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximise account value and customer satisfaction.
• Exceed revenue targets while mentoring sales teams, applying best practices in customer engagement, and ensuring CRM systems and company policies are effectively utilised.

What you’ll bring to the role
• A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred but not essential), and strong relationships across the hire industry and related sectors
• 5+ years’ experience in a senior sales or key account management role, with demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships at all levels.
• A solid understanding of value-added selling, business development, with strong business acumen and data interpretation skills.
• Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, backed by industry knowledge and an ability to understand and respond to complex customer needs.
• The capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
