As a Training Specialist focusing on Safety, and Compliance, you’ll be responsible for leading operational training initiatives at Coates. This is a highly autonomous role, with independence and access to key stakeholders. You will work with subject matter experts to design and deliver effective safety and compliance training programs, ensuring consistent and reliable support for our ongoing operations
Our headquarters is in Mascot NSW, with key team members also located at our Ingleburn site. We’re also open to flexible arrangements.
You’ll be managing the full lifecycle of learning and development at Coates, including:
- Assess safety and compliance learning needs for employees, ensuring alignment with the capability matrix and organisational priorities.
- Design, deliver, and evaluate safety and compliance training programs that reflect industry best practices.
- Collaborate with People & Safety and Business stakeholders to effectively meet learning requirements.
- Evaluate and report on outcomes

What you’ll bring to the role
- Strong experience assessing training needs and developing programs to address these.
- Strong experience demonstrating effectiveness of these programs through reporting on key outcomes.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems
- Exceptional stakeholder and project management skills
- Experience delivering training
- Cert IV Training & Assessment and/or HR qualification – beneficial
