A pivotal member of the Procurement Team within the Finance business function. The role leads and supports sourcing, supplier management and commercial activities across a broad range of operational expenditure categories, developing and executing sourcing and supply strategies that link to the Coates strategy, support supply certainty, and deliver strong commercial outcomes, governance and sustainable value.

You'll enjoy variety in your role including:

• Lead sourcing activities across OPEX categories, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier negotiations and recommendation processes.
• Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for OPEX spend areas, informed by spend analysis, market assessments and supplier evaluations.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing and contracting: market engagement, due diligence, evaluation, negotiation, business case input and supplier recommendation across MGSAs, MSAs, panel arrangements and statements of work.
• Identify and deliver value beyond savings through cost reduction, supplier consolidation, process improvement, demand management and innovation.
• Manage supplier relationships and governance, including performance reviews, KPI monitoring, issue resolution and ongoing value delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate supplier, commercial, operational and continuity risks across the procurement lifecycle.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Risk and business stakeholders to ensure procurement activities meet policy, governance and approval requirements.

What you will bring to the role

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance, Procurement or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing or supply chain roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading sourcing events, tender processes and supplier negotiations.
• Analytical and financial acumen: spend analysis, cost modelling, business case development; converts data into insights and recommendations.
• Demonstrated negotiation and contract management capability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint capability.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience across indirect and operational expenditure categories (highly regarded).
• Experience in a complex, multi-site operating environment (highly regarded).
