- Serve as the organisation’s LMS super user, responsible for its configuration, optimisation, reporting, and advanced support, alongside developing engaging digital learning content and driving continuous improvements in learning technologies.
We’re looking for a versatile Learning & Development Systems & Content Manager to lead our L&D Operations team. You will build a high-performing team and be responsible for transforming our L&D Operations, especially through analytics and reporting, digital transformation (especially of the LMS), influencing enterprise learning strategy and operational efficiency.
The team delivers the logistics, learner support, content coordination and compliance across a range of internal and external L&D programs, including via the Coates RTO.
As the LMS expert, you'll ensure the system is optimised, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs, while also supporting the creation of digital content and continuous improvement in learning processes and technologies.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
- Lead and champion a Safety-First culture across the organisation while managing the L&D Operations team to deliver seamless learning support, including training logistics, scheduling, compliance and learning analytics, and learner assistance, across the RTO, internal and external learning programs offered at Coates.
- Act as the Learning Management System (LMS) subject matter expert and super user, overseeing its configuration, optimisation, reporting, and providing advanced support to ensure effective learning delivery and compliance.
- Coach and guide the L&D Operations team to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and effective coordination of learning programs, communications, and materials.
- Develop and maintain digital learning content, LMS user guides, and training materials while collaborating with IT and vendors to manage system upgrades and integrations.
- Collaborate as part of the L&D Leadership Team to contribute to strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, data-driven learning analytics, and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.

What you’ll bring to the role
- Tertiary qualifications in Learning Technologies, Instructional Design, or related field, plus Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- Proven leadership experience managing L&D operations or administration teams, with strong people management, safety, and financial oversight skills.
- Extensive experience managing LMS platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors, Moodle, Cornerstone) and proficiency in eLearning content design using authoring tools and standards like SCORM/xAPI.
- Exposure to the RTO sector and a strong understanding of the management and compliance obligations for accredited training and apprenticeships.
- Strong project management capabilities with commercial and strategic acumen to align resources and deliver complex learning initiatives.
- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in data interpretation, learning measurement frameworks, and reporting to evaluate learning effectiveness and business impact.
