Join Coates as a Junior Category Manager – OPEX, where you'll play a key role in developing supply market strategies and delivering high-performing commercial outcomes. This role focuses on OPEX categories and ensures alignment with Coates broader business strategy, driving supply certainty and value across the business. The successful person will assume accountability for:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives, focusing on securing supply, optimising value, and managing supplier risk.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand category needs, analyse procurement spend, assess markets, and drive supply chain improvements.
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes, including RFX, contract negotiation, performance management, and supplier governance.
- Manage supplier relationships across the lifecycle, focusing on performance, compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor category performance through reporting, KPI tracking, and ongoing identification of value opportunities and supply chain risks.

What you’ll bring to the role
- 3–5 years' experience in procurement, ideally within a complex or industrial environment, with exposure to contract and category management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in blue-collar or operational settings, with proven ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Track record of delivering sourcing solutions that drive cost savings and operational efficiencies.
- Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical skills; experience with Tableau is a plus.
