Coates is looking to employ a self-starter with a curious mind who enjoys checking and crunching data, systems and processes to validate HSEQ performance, identify improvement opportunities and can tell a HSEQ story from quantitative HSEQ data that our people can connect to.

We have a dynamic HSEQ Team ready to welcome a person who is passionate about the Health, Safety and Wellbeing of people and the protection of the environment and communities in which we operate. 

 

This role is for someone who has recently dipped their toes into the world of HSEQ and is looking to learn and build their HSEQ statistical, Systems, process, compliance and quality skills. This role is also about great customer service. At Coates our HSEQ Team care deeply about providing studious, efficient, and supportive HSEQ services and advice to our busy internal operational leaders and staff.  If we look after them, they can be their best and put our people and our customers first.

 

Our headquarters is based in Mascot NSW however at Coates we support flexible work arrangements and are open to people working from other locations such as our head offices in Dandenong VIC, Kingston QLD, or Belmont WA in addition to the opportunity to work some days from home.

 

Check out the high level activities and projects role will be involved in:

  • Monthly analysis and reporting on HSEQ performance and statistics to provide meaningful and accurate data and reports.
  • Conduct performance reviews and audits of the implementation of Coates HSEQ Management System, HSEQ compliance activities, corrective actions and data.
  • Maintain online HSEQ platforms and data including daily troubleshooting of Coates HSEQ IT platforms
  • Assist in the design, testing and delivery of online tools, forms, and processes in Coates HSEQ IT platforms and management systems.
  • Participate and support HSEQ related projects.
  • Initial point of contact for general HSEQ related enquires and HSEQ IT system enquires.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Minimum - Certificate IV Work Health and Safety or similar
  • Experience and knowledge in HSEQ Risk management frameworks
  • Experience interpreting legislation
  • Familiarity and administration capability with IT platforms - Power BI, SQL, Donesafe, Injury Connect advantageous
  • HSEQ reporting, data analysis and presentation experience - High Excel skills a must
  • Quality assurance and auditing skills
  • High energy, natural resilience, passionate, strong work ethic and a curious mind
  • Good organisational and time management skills, including the ability to evaluate activities and set priorities
