The Group Manager Maintenance Operations is responsible for leading and managing the delivery of safe, effective and compliant maintenance operations nationally for the Coates business.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
- Provide national governance and oversight to ensure all maintenance operations comply with statutory, legislative and company standards
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the national maintenance operating framework, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and operational needs including safety, profitability, productivity, quality and efficiency of maintenance operations.
- Provide leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise to BU operational leaders including Asset Managers, to ensure consistent delivery of maintenance practices, OEM management, parts and supply planning and cost control.
- Support BUs in workforce planning, including labour forecasting, competency requirements, training pathways and capability uplift.
- Lead the design, implementation and optimisation of the national Field Service and Support model to ensure the workforce is equipped to deliver high-quality service and minimise fleet downtime.

What you’ll bring to the role
- 10 years + experience in similar role
- Tertiary Degree or Trade qualification in a mechanical or electrical engineering related field
- Strong equipment and maintenance knowledge, with ability to interpret asset performance data and maintenance practices and standards
- Demonstrated commercial acumen to understand, assess and drive initiatives to improve business outcomes – operational efficiency, cost outcomes and overall business performance
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing board level papers, business cases and investment proposals
