We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team and implement functions related to customer account collections and relationship management. In this role, you will take ownership of customer account collections and relationship management, ensuring invoices are collected accurately and efficiently reducing DSO. You will work closely with customers to resolve queries, manage disputes, and maintain positive relationships, while driving continuous improvement initiatives that help our team operate at its best.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
- Managing collections handling delayed payments while balancing firm collection practices and maintaining strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and major customers.
- Driving financial performance by reducing DSO and mitigating risk implementing measures to accelerate payments, minimise exposure to bad debt, and strengthen the company’s overall financial position.
- Raising and resolving disputes ensuring accuracy through investigative problem-solving, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with internal teams to keep collections processes smooth and compliant.
- Investigate and perform reconciliation to ensure accuracy in accounts, payment allocations and claims.
- Drive process improvement initiatives - identify, recommend, and implement enhancements to collection processes and procedures.

What you’ll bring to the role
- 3+ years’ accounts receivable experience
- Proficiency with ERP systems and excel skills (e.g.,, Baseplan, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong knowledge of credit management principles and reconciliation skills
- Proficient in collection strategies, techniques and reporting
- AICM membership preferred; CCE or Certificate IV/Diploma in Credit Management desirable.
