  • Permanent full-time position
  • Monday to Friday roster with a 6:30am start
  • Hourly rates – fortnightly pay

 

As a Driver with Coates, you'll be a key representative of our business, delivering equipment safely, efficiently and on time while providing exceptional customer service. Based out of our Kwinana branch, you'll play a key role in maintaining our Safety First culture and ensuring every job is completed professionally and safely. Your duties will include

 

  • Safely, professionally, and efficiently deliver and pick up equipment from customer and site locations
  • Safely load and unload equipment, including operating forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts and other equipment where licensed
  • Secure and restrain loads in accordance with company standards, legislation and Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Demonstrate equipment operation and safety requirements to customers on delivery
  • Complete vehicle safety inspections, delivery documentation and compliance requirements accurately and on time
  • Adhere to customer site requirements, Coates safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility obligations
  • Assist with equipment retrieval and general yard duties while maintaining a safe and organised work environment

What you'll bring to the role

 

  • A valid heavy vehicle driver's licence
  • Forklift, EWP, vehicle crane licenses, and/or tilt tray experience (highly regarded)
  • Experience safely loading and unloading equipment, including the use of correct load restraint methods
  • A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience within the equipment hire, transport, construction or related industries, along with intermediate computer skills (highly regarded)
