Our Power & HVAC team delivers specialist temporary climate control and power solutions to customers across a range of industries. We’re looking for a technically skilled and hands-on Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex projects and ensure exceptional service for our customers.
The opportunity:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Power & HVAC installation projects.
You’ll take the lead on technical project delivery, ensuring equipment is installed, maintained, and decommissioned safely and efficiently. While this role is not sales-driven, you’ll occasionally support with site inspections and desktop quotes to help the team manage overflow and provide timely solutions to our customers.
This role is perfect for a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic (dual trade desirable) who thrives on being hands on, solving technical challenges and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Power & HVAC projects, from planning through to completion.
- Lead and coordinate installation, servicing, and commissioning of temporary climate control and power systems.
- Ensure all work is delivered safely, complying with Coates’ Safety-First culture and relevant standards.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise, troubleshooting and resolving complex refrigeration and HVAC challenges.
- Conduct site inspections and support the preparation of desktop quotes as required to support customer needs.
- Manage project resources, including scheduling equipment and workforce allocation.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and operational efficiency.

What you’ll bring to the role
- Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic – dual trade (electrical) highly desirable.
- Proven experience delivering projects in HVAC, refrigeration, or power generation industries.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities.
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Current driver’s licence.
