Coates Engineering Solutions is a specialist team of engineers, designers and technical support personal providing turnkey solutions (i.e. equipment and service) to our customers to meet the needs of their temporary works.
Working across high profile projects, the position of Operations Supervisor – Installations will use construction and on-site experience and skills to plan, execute and supervise the installation of our specialist structural and temporary works products, with a primary focus on pumping and water treatment whilst working closely with our customers.
Your typical day will focus on:
• Oversee the coordination & installation of our range of specialised products (specifically well point dewatering, pump bypass and primary water treatment systems) on customer sites
• Manage customer site conditions, delays, customer expectations and variances to original quote
• This is a “hands on” role and is not without its challenges! It is busy, requires multi-tasking, managing customer expectations and staff
• Be the Coates representative on site taking responsibility for delivery of client solution, delegate tasks, ensure safety, quality, and monitor productivity
• Working with Coates branches to organise plant, equipment and resourcing
• Demonstrate a Safety-First culture throughout the organisation
• There will be occasional remote travel for work and work outside of normal business hours
What you’ll bring to the role
• Strong construction site experience, with a focus on pumping and water treatment installations;
• Experience building relationships with customers and sub-contractors
• Basic Computer skills, ability to work on MS Word, Excel
• Good planning and team leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and the possession of excellent problem-solving skill
• EWP Operators Licence (Yellow Card) would be preferred
• High Risk work licence will be preferred for EWP (+11m)/Forklift/Basic Riggers
• WAH & Confined Space Entry Tickets would be preferred
• Trade qualifications or equivalent experience desirable but not essential
• Excavator Operations licence and experience preferred
• Telehandler ticket will be preferred
• Experience in managing a team, delegating tasks and personnel supervision to meet project timelines preferred
