The Senior Engineer - Groundwater Management is responsible for providing engineering specifications for groundwater management & deep excavation design on a National basis. You’ll be responsible for ensuring Safety in Design, compliance, efficiency & accuracy when predicting groundwater flows and specifying temporary solutions for water management and deep excavation shoring.

 

You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:

  • Lead our uncompromising Safety First culture throughout the organisation and customer relationships
  • Communicate with internal & external customers
  • Provide customers with relevant technical data, advice, specifications & information in order for them to make appropriate hire decisions
  • Identify appropriate consultancies to partner with, and maintain the relationship
  • Generation of technical reports, proposals, & detailed designs
  • Coordinate third party engineering works, including certifications, technical reports, site activities, invoicing, etc
  • Provide certification (both design certification and on-site certification) of water management & excavation support designs
  • Engage with customers & their consultants, third party consultants, suppliers & contractors to ensure favourable commercial outcomes
  • Support site operations with engineering & technical advice (installation, commissioning, maintenance, client hand over, etc.)
  • Interstate travel as required
  • Continually explore, assess and action ways to improve the performance of Coates’ range of products and services
  • Continually monitor market trends, competitor offering, client demands & current issues facing industry
  • Identify & implement the most appropriate set of software & systems in order to provide high quality & accurate predictions & modelling
  • Carry out risk assessments on projects to ensure best possible project outcomes for Coates & their clients

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor degree in geotechnical engineering or similar
  • 5+ years’ post graduate experience working in an engineering office in a similar role
  • Qualified as a Chartered Professional Engineer or Professional Engineer preferred
