We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking National Product Specialist – Water Management Solutions to take ownership of Coates’ wastewater and high-head pump product category across Australia.
In this pivotal role, you will set the national strategy for our water management solutions, ensuring our products remain competitive, innovative, and aligned with the evolving needs of the civil, construction, and mining infrastructure sectors. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Engineering Solutions, you will:
- Lead the strategic development and growth of the wastewater and high-head pump portfolio nationally
- Identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and innovation opportunities to strengthen Coates’ market position
- Provide expert technical support to our sales teams, including input on major tender submissions, project solutions, and customer presentations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with top and mid-tier contractors, water authorities, government authorities, and industry stakeholders
- Act as the subject matter expert for water management solutions, offering thought leadership and guidance on best practice applications
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, sales and commercial teams to ensure product performance, availability, and customer satisfaction meet industry-leading standards
- Deliver training, tools, and resources that empower our sales and customer-facing teams to confidently promote and apply Coates’ water management solutions
- Support key projects by providing innovative pumping solutions and ensuring successful execution from concept to delivery

What you’ll bring to the role
- Proven expertise in wastewater and high-head pumping applications within civil, engineering, construction, mining, or related sectors
- A track record of success in product management, technical sales, or business development
- Strong understanding of pumping equipment, industry standards, and market dynamics
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and lead through others
- Experience working with major contractors, consultants, and government agencies
- Commercial acumen and experience developing proposals and managing tenders for major projects
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, or relevant experience (preferred)
