Your key focus will be to provide HSEQ leadership, advice and support to the East Business Unit which operates through NSW and ACT. This is a highly visible role within the organisation and will require regular travel to both office and branch locations. Coates has set ambitious Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability goals, and your experience in these areas will be greatly beneficial to achieving our plans to becoming a leader and role model in this field.

This role will preferably be based in either Moorebank or Ingleburn.

 

You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:

  • Working with the Group HSEQ and Sustainability team as well as the East Business Unit.
  • Providing advice, guidance, training, and support to Coates stakeholders
  • Conducting and supporting Investigations and reporting of events
  • Assisting, implementing, and maintaining compliance of HSEQ policies and systems
  • Conducting monitoring activities, internal audits and facilitating annual external audits
  • Monitor HSEQ performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

 

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Relevant HSEQ qualification – minimum of Diploma
  • Experience in a similar Health & Safety role looking after a business unit or region.
  • Proven track record in developing, implementing, and monitoring operational HSE frameworks and programs.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organisation from frontline employees to management.
  • Capable of working with teams across NSW and ACT as well as operating autonomously
  • Available for regular local and regional travel.
  • Ability to deliver training, coaching, and influencing stakeholders.
  • Excellent technical writing capability
  • ICAM Lead Investigator and Trainer Assessor qualifications are beneficial.
