Working across high profile projects, the position of Operations Supervisor – Portables will use construction, on-site experience and skills to plan, execute and supervise the installation of our portables and traffic products, with a primary focus on instillation and additions to site, working closely with our customers.
As well as providing a high level of customer service, you will also need to:
- Be the Coates representative on site taking responsibility for delivery of client solutions, delegate tasks, ensure safety, quality, and monitor productivity
- Oversee the coordination & installation of our range of specialised products on customer sites
- Running prestart and toolbox meetings
- Manage customer site conditions, delays, customer expectations and variances to original quotations
- Demonstrate a Safety-First culture throughout the organisation
- Build and develop an efficient and effective installation program tailored to each project
- Working with Coates branches to organise buildings, equipment and resourcing of contractors

What you’ll bring to the role
As well as having experience in a similar role, you will also have the following:
- Strong construction site experience, with a focus on building/repair; you will have prepared and managed risk assessments and safe work method statements
- Experience building relationships with customers and sub-contractors
- Experience in managing a team, delegating tasks and personnel supervision to meet project timelines.
- Basic Computer skills, ability to work on MS Word, Excel.
- Experience in project management on multiple sites will be highly regarded
- Good planning and team leadership skills with the ability to work autonomously and the possession of excellent problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Telehandler ticket will be highly regarded
- EWP Operators Licence
- High Risk work licence will be highly regarded for EWP
- (+11m)/Forklift/Basic Riggers
- Confined Space Entry Tickets
- HR Truck License would be beneficial
- Trade qualifications or equivalent experience
- Undertaking or having completed a diploma in engineering, construction management or project management is preferred for this role.
