As a Yardperson at our Geraldton branch, you'll be the backbone of our operation — keeping the yard running safely, equipment moving efficiently, and customers leaving happy. No two days look the same, and your work makes a real difference to the team and the clients we serve.

A typical day might see you loading up a scissor lift before sunrise, running through hire checks mid-morning, and helping a customer get their gear sorted in the afternoon — all while keeping the yard spotless and safe.

• Safely load and unload equipment using correct handling and load restraint procedures
• Pre- and post-hire equipment checks to keep everything in top working condition
• General yard duties — cleaning, organising and maintaining equipment and facilities
• Basic servicing and minor repairs of non-high-risk equipment in a workshop environment
• Stock control and accurate record-keeping including checklists and safety paperwork
• Customer assistance — helping with equipment pickups and returns in a professional, friendly manner
• Compliance with all safety standards, company policies and procedures

You’ll have hands-on experience in a similar role, plus:

• Current forklift licence and valid driver’s licence
• High-risk work competencies — forklift, scissor lifts, boom lifts
• Load restraint knowledge and experience loading/unloading equipment
• Strong safety mindset with working knowledge of JSEAs and Take 5s
• Previous experience in the mining or resources industry
• Basic mechanical knowledge and aptitude
• HR licence (desirable but not essential)
