As a Mechanic based at our Esperance branch, you'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing our diverse hire fleet to ensure it remains safe, reliable and ready for hire. This role is primarily workshop-based, with occasional field service work supporting customers across the local region.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a broad range of hire equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and major repairs
- Working on earthmoving equipment, generators, lighting plants, boom lifts and other fleet assets
- Supporting customers through occasional field service and breakdown response work
- Managing spare parts inventory required for repairs
- Building strong customer relationships through professional and reliable service
- Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and quality of work
What You'll Bring
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trade Qualification or equivalent mechanical trade background
- Experience working on diesel and petrol engines and capital equipment
- Strong hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Current Driver's Licence (MR or HR Licence highly regarded)
- Sound diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
- Commitment to safety, customer service and delivering quality work
- Forklift and EWP tickets (advantageous)
