At Coates, our Area Managers perform a highly valued and critical role, leading multiple branches through a team of Branch Supervisors and Assistant Branch Managers to deliver safe, efficient and profitable operations.
Based in Bunbury and responsible for branches across the Southwest region, you'll be successful in this role because you can motivate, mentor and develop leaders and teams, build strong customer relationships, and drive outstanding operational and commercial outcomes.
You'll enjoy variety in your role, including:
- Lead and promote Coates' Safety First culture across all branches and customer interactions
- Drive safe and efficient branch operations, including equipment deliveries, transfers, pick-ups, repairs, changeovers and breakdowns
- Lead, coach and support a diverse team, including Branch Supervisors, an Assistant Branch Manager, Customer Service Coordinators, Mechanics and operational support team members
- Deliver revenue, profitability and operational KPI targets across your branch portfolio
- Maximise fleet availability and utilisation to meet customer demand
- Work closely with regional sales teams to identify and support growth opportunities
- Develop team capability through coaching, performance management and succession planning
- Identify opportunities to improve branch performance and operational efficiency
What you will bring
- Experience leading diverse teams across multiple sites or locations
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and support frontline leaders and teams
- Experience delivering revenue, profitability and operational performance targets
- Strong ability to solve operational, workforce and customer challenges in a fast-paced environment
- Strong influencing, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building effective relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to balance fleet, labour and operational resources to achieve business objectives
- A genuine commitment to safety and leading by example
