The opportunity
At Coates, we’re more than equipment hire — we’re about people, performance, and possibilities. As Site Operations Manager, you’ll take the lead in driving operational excellence, safety, and customer satisfaction across a network of branches.
You’ll lead a diverse team of managers, technicians, and customer service professionals empowering them to deliver on revenue, customer experience, and fleet performance targets. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to get the best out of people and operations.
What you’ll do
- Champion Coates’ Safety-First culture across every part of site operations.
- Drive operational, production and sales effectiveness to achieve revenue, fleet, and service goals.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of managers and frontline employees.
- Analyse performance data to identify growth opportunities and improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and operational procedures.
- Build strong relationships with customers and represent Coates proudly in the market.
- Keep a close eye on fleet availability, maintenance, and service delivery to ensure customer needs are met — every time.
What you’ll bring
- Proven success in multi-site or complex branch operations management, ideally in equipment hire, industrial or asset services.
- A track record of driving safety culture and operational excellence.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills — you inspire people to perform.
- A customer-first mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
