Reporting to the Business Unit Sales Manager, this role is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to a team of Major Project Managers across the Melbourne Metro region, ensuring they effectively manage designated major project sites, maximising the revenue and share of wallet opportunities across each project.

  • Providing strong direction and leadership to the major project sales team to maximise effectiveness, capability, and engagement.
  • Support sales team member by engaging with key customers, understanding their business and needs; developing winning solutions.
  • Lead the development and execution of effective project planning, reporting, and management practices to drive share of wallet growth across Major Projects.

What you’ll bring to the role

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about developing sales professionals and driving sales performance with proven experience gained in a similar position. Ideally this experience will have been gained selling into construction, manufacturing, and/or related industries.

Your experience will also include:

  • The ability to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and qualities to lead and develop a high performing sales team.
  • The ability to develop strong customer relationships that translate into strong revenue generation and customer loyalty.
  • Proven experience in business planning and strategy development, with strong commercial acumen to support decision-making and drive growth.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead negotiations and drive sales outcomes both personally and through coaching and empowering others.
  • A relevant tertiary education and/or equivalent hire industry experience is preferred.
