As an Operations Supervisor (based in Beresfield), you will play a critical role overseeing the coordination, supply and movement of hire equipment across project sites and facilities.

You’ll lead a busy, high-volume operational environment where transport movements, loading and unloading, safety, and customer service are top priorities. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is delivered on time, projects run smoothly, and customers receive exceptional service.

You will work closely with internal teams, contractors and customers, ensuring efficient logistics, strong stakeholder relationships and compliance with safety standards at all times.

 

As well as providing a high level of customer service, you will:

  • Coordinate the supply, installation and collection of hire equipment
  • Manage equipment logistics, including sourcing, scheduling and transport coordination
  • Supervise and support operational teams, ensuring effective workload management
  • Maintain safe loading, unloading and traffic management practices
  • Build strong relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Provide technical advice and solutions to customers on equipment needs
  • Conduct inspections, audits and ensure all safety and compliance requirements are met
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure all site and project activities align with company policies and procedures

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Proven experience in operations, logistics, hire, construction, or site-based environments
  • Strong knowledge of equipment coordination, transport logistics and project delivery
  • Experience leading or coordinating teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of safety, compliance and risk management practices
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving and time management abilities
  • Confident, hands-on leadership style with the ability to prioritise competing demands
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, internal systems)

 

Highly regarded

  • Forklift and/or High-Risk Work Licence
  • HR Truck Licence
  • Experience in the hire industry or managing equipment on project sites
  • Trade or technical background
  • Civil construction / traffic background
